Earth Day turns 40 in Frisco

Join the Frisco Green Team in celebrating the 40^th anniversary of Earth Day with our massively successful city-wide clean up event “Clean it and Green it” on Saturday, April 24^th, in the IKEA parking lot, 7171 IKEA Dr. Volunteers will help clean up litter around town, be registered for great raffle drawing prizes, receive a Green gift and t-shirt, and dine on a free IKEA lunch. Plus there will be lots of fun and environmental education going on all day. You can register the day of the event or pre-register online at WWW.Myvolunteerpage.com or call 972-292-5074. Check-in will be from 8:15-9:15am and the cleanup will last from 9:30-11:00am. HOA’s, schools, and other groups are also encouraged to preregister and receive equipment in advance to hold Clean It and Green It events in their own neighborhoods. They are still welcome to join us at IKEA before and after the cleanup for prizes and lunch but this is not required. Just a reminder that the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs 8th Annual Lifetime Membership Awards Banquet is April 30th. Hopefully, all of you that are planning to attend have already mailed in your ticket order form and a check. If not, you need to contact Susan Thomas at smartpta@yahoo.com and mail in your ticket order form and check by Monday, April 12th. Attached is copy of the Ticket Order form for you reference.

The Frisco ISD Council of PTAs is proud to host Frisco Schools Spirit Night at the RoughRiders game, Thursday, May 27. The Council will be honoring all the school librarians at the game. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs which provides programs, training, and leadership to all the Frisco ISD PTAs.
